Mission: Building hope and understanding through faith-based counseling and support services for youth, adults, couples, and families in our communities.

In 1966, North Hills Area churches created Anchorpoint Counseling Ministry (formerly the North Hills Youth Ministry Counseling Center) as a non-denominational outreach ministry to teens. Moving from this emphasis on teens, in 1982 the ministry began working with parents, the primary influence determining the health and well-being of the family.

What about today?  Anchorpoint Counseling Ministry now provides professional counseling services for individuals, youth, families, and couples.

We have:

Parenting education classes and workshops
Discussion groups for parents of teens
40 Developmental Asset education and Act 48 professional training for schools
Tutoring/mentoring (Youth Development Program)
Bereavement support groups
Master's level Clinical Internship program

Uninsured clients pay on a sliding scale fee basis. No one is denied service due to financial contraints . We are credentialed to receive third-party insurance from Highmark, MN Net, UPMC, Aetna, Cigna, and United Behavior Health.
