The annual book sale is one of our major fundraisers. Funds raised at the book sale provides scholarship support for individuals and families in need. We love the book sale, but if we are to continue the sale we must generate a profit. The book sale is labor intensive and requires hundreds of hours of work – transporting, sorting, setting up, etc. While many volunteers help, much of the work is done by paid staff. Our costs continued to increase – storage, gas, marketing, etc. We believe our prices are still very reasonable as we always have a wide variety of good quality books available. We also know that many of the books we sell can be resold on-line at much higher prices. As always, we appreciate your support and understanding.
